Couldn't you just do a bunch of bad things until your like
65 and then ask for
forgivness
and then go to heaven clean? even though you've already done
all that bad stuff?
Dear Karren, TOO dangerous!
The Lord does not promise you age 65 or even tomorrow. TODAY
is the day of salvation - not tomorrow. What if you stepped
out the door and a truck ran over you? - then you wake up in
the flames of Hell - PRETTY DUMB! Besides ,the Christian
life is Great!

... What is
The Fire of
God?
Dear Bennie, ... Fire can refer to
a fervency of desire to serve God as happens when Jesus
baptizes you with the Holy Ghost and Fire !. Fire was first
used to represent the Divine presence of God in Genesis
15:17 and later in the Burning Bush and on Mount Sinai when
the Law was given (Exodus 3:2,13:21,19:18) Elijah was taken
to Heaven by a chariot of fire and horses of fire (2 Kings
1:9-12, 2:11) - Fire can also symbolize the purifying
presence of God, as a cooking fire destoys the harmful
enzymes in food and smelting burns out the dross and refines
metal. - Lastly, Fire can represent the punishment or wrath
of God (Deut 33:22, Jer 4:4, Nah 1:6 which at times consumed
the rebellious (Gen 19:24, Num 16:35 Matt7:19) Hell is an
unquenchable fire (Matt 7:19, Mark 9:43)

... why should we not call
a catholic priest-
"father"?
Dear Doug, .... Jesus said "Call no
man your (spiritual) Father upon the Earth: for one is your
(Heavenly) Father, which is in Heaven" Matthew 23:9 This
practice started with Nimrod and his queen, Semiramis, which
spread among all the nations. The objects of worship were
the Supreme Father,(Nimrod), the Queen of Heaven (Semiramis)
and her Son.... Julius Caesar became the Head of the Roman
branch in 63 B.C. and other Roman Emperors held this
position until 378 A.D. when Babylonianism and Christianity
came together under Demasus, the Bishop of Rome. After the
merger many of the rituals of Babylon were introduced into
the Roman Catholic Church such as veneration of statues,
private confessions, penances, relics, Easter, Lady Day,
Lent etc. etc. Over 200 million people were martyred in the
past because they would not conform to the new organized
religion.
Some other titles of honor to avoid
are "Doctor", "Reverend" (title given to Julius Caesar) and
perhaps "Senior Pastor" which sounds too much like Great
Shepherd, the title belonging to Jesus, the leader and head
of the Church. My preference is "Pastor" or
"Brother"

... Which verse deals with
the "sins of the
father" - which book and
verse?
Dear Lisa, in Ezekiel 18: 3-28 The
Lord forbids the use of the proverb or saying "the
father is responsible for the sinful behavior of his
children". God points out that all people are created equal
and one person is not responsible for the sins of another.
If a father or a son (or daughter) is guilty of robbery,
murder, adultery, worshipping idols, oppressing the poor,
taking spoil by violence or lending money to a fellow
believer at interest and does not repent, he or she will die
for their sins. This is not in conflict with Deuteronomy 5:9
which only
pertains to the children of
those who hate God and walk in the sins of their wicked
parents
Sir, Could you please tell me
that if it is true that the children have to pay for the
sins of their parents and does the Bible support this. I am
a devoted christian and believe and pray to Lord Jesus
Christ for His Divine mercy.Hope you will answer my question
and clear any doubts that I may have. Thanks
Dear Agnelo .... No , God hates
this saying!... see above

JESUS SAID, IF YOU SEEN ME,
THEN YOU HAVE SEEN THE
FATHER.
MY QUESTION IS. THEN WHY DOES THE BIBLE ALSO STATE THAT YOU
HAVE NEVER SEEN GOD?
Dear Irma, Jesus was referring to
the fact that they had seen the nature of God the Father in
Him. In John 14: 9 - 11 Jesus speaks of His union with the
Father, that is, They were united in mind and purpose. In
Theology this is called " The Doctrine of Interpenetration
in Scripture " ..... hope this helps

.... In old testament of bible did jesus said that he is a
son of god? if he did then pls refer verse to me. he said
father and every body say father to priest. is it same as
jesus said to god?
Dear Abdul, The Old Testament
verses about Jesus are at
www.wcie.net/bible.studies.htm/prophecies.htm
In the New Testament there is Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:11, Luke
1:35, John 1:34... When Jesus said "Father" Jesus was
talking about His Father in Heaven. Some people do call
Catholic priests "Father" but Jesus said in Matthew 23:9 we
should not call any man "Father" except our Father in Heaven
... hope this helps

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE 40 DAY
FAST
AND WHY DID MOSES, AND JESUS DO IT? ....Who besides Moses
went without food for 40 days?
Dear Veronica and Michelle...
Fasting
from food (which caused the fall of man) humbles the soul
before God, demonstrates the mastery of mankind over
appetites, develops faith and should be combined with
prayer..(Matthew 17:14-21). Fasting is a Biblical
mandate..(Matthew 6:16;9:15). In Isaiah 58:3-5 are things
that do not constitute a fast and in verses 6-13 are 23
things that do constitute a true fast. Our attitude and
appearance should be clean and normal (Matthew 6:17), humble
but resolute( Matthew 6:18), no outward show but inward
discipline (Matthew 6:16.) Moses and Jesus fasted 40 days to
prepare for their ministry (Exodus 34:28; Matthew 4:2.)
Joshua and Elijah also fasted 40 days (Exodus 24:13-18; I
Kings 19:7-18.)

What is the old testatment scriptures concerning that
Jesus would come after 42-generations?
Dear Eddie, In the New Testament
Mt 1:17 - So all the generations from Abraham to David were
fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to
Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to
Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations. .... Total 42
generations
